Taylor Swift Tonight Release New Single Called 《ME》

After weeks teasing fans and widespread speculation, Taylor Swift announced a new single and music video Thursday night in an interview with Robin Roberts in her former hometown of Nashville.

The single, titled "Me!," is a collaboration with Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie and will be released at midnight ET, she said.

"'Me!' is a song about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it and owning it," Swift told Roberts.
"I think with a pop song we have the ability to get a melody stuck in people's heads, and I just want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves," she said.

The track is Swift’s first new music since 2017’s Reputation. Last year, Swift broke her long-held political silence in support of the Democratic Party, made a surprise appearance at Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Benefit, and released a Reputation concert film on Netflix. Earlier this month, Tay launched a mysterious countdown leading to April 26th. She’s also been sharing colorful images of everything from cats, to bedazzled hearts, to chickens wearing sunglasses.


Earlier today, Tay made a public appearance in Nashville, standing in front of a colorful butterfly mural that she secretly commissioned. Painted in black between the butterfly’s wings was one word: “ME!,” confirming speculation that new music was on its way.

Swift’s always been fond of teasing fans with clues to her new projects, and this time around it came in the form of a giant mural that sprung up on a city wall in Nashville.The mural shows a pair of wings, along with the title of Swift’s new single, ME!
After a quick call-out on Instagram, Swift today headed to the mural to pose with a horde of excited fans who’d pieced the clues together.

Fans began gathering at the colorful mural of angel wings — which has been rumored to be somehow Swift-related for weeks — in the morning and watched Montague add a “ME!” to the center of her artwork.

Signing autographs and posing for selfies with her fans after her arrival, Swift commended her Swifties for realizing she was going to be making a visit.

“I’ve never been more proud of your FBI level detective skills,” she told the assembled Swifties.

Whether or not Swift decides to make another announcement to go with her new song, she probably loves that her fans are speculating in such detail.

She told Roberts that such attention to detail is one of her favorite things about her fanbase. “I cannot believe how dedicated they are, how thoughtful. I can’t believe how much they care,” she said. “So it makes it more fun for me to create music, to create videos knowing they will care about Easter eggs or clues or hints. It’s great to make it for people who care.”
